Children’s Activities
Friday 11th July
Note
As all over 5’s will be in school on Friday, we have not scheduled any children’s workshops (with the exception of the Secret World session which is scheduled for after school time).
If you are bringing yournger children on this day, the children’s marquee will be open for you to use as a rest area with your little one. There will be some story books, and colouring sheets and crayons.
Please keep this area tidy. Thank you.
4.00 to 5pm
Rescue Equipment Practical - An Interactive Wildlife Rescue Experience for Young People
(This workshop will be limited to 20 children, and is being repeated each day so all the children who wish to attend have the opportunity to do so).
Join us for an exciting, hands-on session designed especially for young wildlife enthusiasts! This one-hour interactive workshop offers a fascinating introduction to the world of wildlife rescue. Learn how we safely help small animals like hedgehogs, tackle larger rescues involving deer or badgers, and discover the specialist techniques we use for swans and other waterfowl.
Participants will get up close with the real equipment our trained responders use in the field, try out some of the tools, and explore how we approach different rescue situations. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, understand the challenges of wildlife rescue, and have plenty of fun along the way.
Perfect for curious minds who want to make a difference for British wildlife!"

Secret World Wildlife Rescue
Saturday 12th July
Amber is our fully qualified Children’s Area Supervisor
We ask you all to remember that we do not operate a creche facility, so you must remain with your child/children during activity sessions. Take the opportunity to relax with a cuppa and watch as the children have fun!
10.30 to 11.15am
Make Your Own Dragon Wings with Nicola Parkinson
Allow your child to be taken on an imaginative journey with the Star Dragons and their friends. The story uses imagination and breathing techniques to allow your child's brain and body to dump any excess adrenalin and to refill with oxygen which in turn relaxes and calms your child's mind and body. It allows their brain to process unwanted and uncomfortable emotions whilst the Star Dragons protect your child from nightmares, worries and anxieties.
11.30 to 12.30pm
